Google Sites Integration Guide

Learn how to add your Cloudpresser AI chatbot to your Google Sites website.

Integration Steps

Google Sites is Google's website building platform. Here's how to add your Cloudpresser AI chatbot:

Method: Using Embed HTML

Follow these steps to add your chatbot to your Google Sites website:

  1. Get your chatbot code:
  2. Add the code to your Google Sites website:
    • Open your Google Sites website in edit mode
    • Click the "Insert" tab in the right sidebar
    • Select "Embed" and then "Embed code"
    • Paste your chatbot code into the HTML field
    • Click "Next" and then "Insert"
    • Position the embedded element (it can be placed anywhere, as the chatbot will appear as a floating button)
    • Click "Publish" to update your site

Note: Google Sites has some limitations with custom HTML. The embedded element might show as a blank space on your page, but the chatbot button should still appear correctly when the page is viewed.

Google Sites Versions

New Google Sites

The instructions above are for the new version of Google Sites. You can add HTML embeds as described.

Classic Google Sites

For classic Google Sites, go to the page where you want to add the chatbot, click "Edit page", then insert an HTML box using the "Insert" menu, and paste your code there.

Troubleshooting

Chatbot not appearing on the site

Ensure the code was added correctly and that you've published your site. Try refreshing your browser cache or viewing in an incognito window.

HTML embed showing as blank

This is normal in the editor view. Publish your site and view it to see if the chatbot appears correctly.

Security warnings

Google Sites might show security warnings for certain scripts. If this happens, you may need to use an alternative integration method or contact our support team for assistance.
