Integration Method

Here's how to integrate your Cloudpresser AI chatbot with your Shopify store:

Manual Integration

If you prefer not to use an app, you can manually add the chatbot code:

  1. Get your chatbot code:
  2. Add the code to your Shopify theme:
    • From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
    • Find your current theme and click "Actions" → "Edit code"
    • In the Layout folder, click on "theme.liquid"
    • Paste your chatbot code just before the closing </head> tag
    • Click "Save"

Customizing for Shopify

To make your chatbot more effective for your Shopify store:

  • Train with product information:

    Upload product descriptions, FAQs, and return policies to help your chatbot answer product-specific questions.

  • Add order-related suggested messages:

    Include suggested messages like "Where is my order?", "How do I return an item?", and "Do you ship internationally?".

  • Match your store's branding:

    Customize the chatbot's colors and appearance to match your Shopify store's theme.

Troubleshooting

Chatbot not appearing on the store

Ensure the code was added correctly to theme.liquid. Try refreshing your browser cache or viewing in an incognito window.

Chatbot appears on some pages but not others

Check if your theme uses different layout files for different page types. You may need to add the code to additional template files.

Conflicts with other apps

If you have other chat or support apps installed, they might conflict with Cloudpresser AI Chat. Try temporarily disabling them to test.
