Integration Steps
Adding your Cloudpresser AI chatbot to your Squarespace website is straightforward:
Method: Using Code Injection
Squarespace allows you to add custom code to your site through their Code Injection feature:
- Get your chatbot code:
- Go to your Cloudpresser AI Chat dashboard
- Select the chatbot you want to integrate
- Click on the "View Code" or "Integration" button
- Copy the provided code snippet
- Add the code to your Squarespace site:
- Log in to your Squarespace account
- Go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection
- Paste your chatbot code into the "Header" section
- Click "Save"
Note: Code Injection is available on Business and Commerce plans. If you're on a Personal plan, you'll need to upgrade to use this feature.
Alternative Method: Per-Page Code Injection
If you only want the chatbot on specific pages:
- Navigate to the page:
- Go to Pages in your Squarespace dashboard
- Select the page where you want to add the chatbot
- Click the gear icon to open Page Settings
- Add the code:
- Click on "Advanced" in the settings panel
- Paste your chatbot code into the "Page Header Code Injection" field
- Click "Save"
Squarespace Version Differences
Squarespace 7.0
In Squarespace 7.0, go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection to add your code to the Header section.
Squarespace 7.1
In Squarespace 7.1, go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection to add your code to the Header section. The interface looks slightly different but functions the same way.
Troubleshooting
Chatbot not appearing on the site
Ensure the code was added correctly to the Header section. Try refreshing your browser cache or viewing in an incognito window.
Changes not reflecting immediately
Squarespace sometimes caches your site. Try clearing your browser cache or waiting a few minutes for changes to appear.
Code Injection option not available
Ensure you're on a Business or Commerce plan. If you've recently upgraded, you might need to log out and log back in to see the Code Injection option.
